Golden Pine Raceway will be "Open for Practice" all 3 days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) of this extended holiday weekend. They haven’t opened the track since the Loretta Lynn Regional held on June 19th and 20th.
They should have a similar crowd with similar talent on September 17-19th for the AMA Mississippi State Championships. This event features a 3 moto format for all classes, AMA Pro-Am points, a $6,000 pro purse, Honda OEM contingency, Gulf Coast Championship series points, and D19 MX Fall Shootout points (Round 1). This event has been promoted pretty heavily on the national scene so we should have an excellent pro gate and a lot of out of town amateurs that you don’t normally get to compete against in your own back yard.

Breaking news from Morgantown, WV .... Mississsippi ATV Racer Wesley Holifield finished 2nd in 450A for the south divison at the ITP Tires / Moose Racing AMA ATV Motocross Championship. As a result he will get his time in the spotlight as the top three riders in each class of the North and South Challenges will be given special awards on November 6th at the Grand Resort Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Mill Creek Motocross gears up for the big "Challengers Cup" event this weekend in Pell City, AL featuring Night Racing on Saturday & Outdoor National Racing on Sunday. more info
